  • Jesse Grater
  • They connect well with all the girls and are able to work with them based on their strengths. My daughter really connected with Coach Amanda and Coach Ashley!
  • Coach Ed Morse!
  • Having patience with the new girls!
  • Coach Steve is amazing.
  • Coaches maintained team discipline well, and ensured that there was a great family atmosphere
  • Coach Ed lives and breaths for his team. It’s evident in every message he sends out, every practice he runs & every time he has a meeting with parents. He is passionate about football, and wants to make each kid on the team a better athlete and push them to be their best. I could say 100 amazing things about Coach Ed. This too, comes with a fault as sometimes it can get in the way of remembering the kids are only 8. While it’s important to focus on doing things correctly and remaining safe and running plays.. it’s also important to incorporate fun and play (aside of football plays) to remind the kids why they started playing football in the first place.
  • Coach Dan is phenomenal with the boys and was always down for a game of fishy fishy, which the kids loved and he always ran the fun practices while still practicing skill and technique. He has a genuine way of recognizing when the kids are getting run down, and need a pick me up and a moral boost.
  • Grateful for the entire 8U coaching staff. The boys learned so much, and I always felt my child was safe and cared for first and foremost
  • Motivating the kids
  • Coach Steve did an amazing job especially since he was juggling between 2 teams. He is knowledgeable and made it fun for the kids to learn and play. My son really enjoyed playing for Coach Steve and I enjoyed watching him learn and develop into the player he was this season. Much credit and appreciation for Coach Steve and the assistant coaches for their time and patience.
  • Amanda was firm but helpful and my daughter loved it.
  • Coaches went out of their way to reach every player whether they were talented or still working on skill development.
  • Coach steve was great with the kids and made sure to always include the younger kids that are just starting out.
  • Shout-out to all the coaches they did very well and they were so patient with the kids.
  • Shout-out to all the coaches they did very well and they were so patient with the kids.
  • Coach Paul, Berg, and Alecia were great and very positive influences on the team.
  • Coaches communication was excellent
  • Keeping all the players and plays organized while managing playing time.
  • They were really positive and made Cami feel motivated to work hard. Coach Lisa did an exceptional job this season with organization and pushing the girls outside of their comfort zones
  • 8u coaches have done an amazing job teaching the boys the fundamentals of tacking and the safe ways to hit. This would have been a great experience for the 5th grade boys when they were in 4th they did not get alot of that.
  • Jesse overall great coach kids respect him a lot
  • Coaches worked well with my daughters ADHD
  • Communication was the best this past season!
  • Coach Steve had immense patience with the little ones during practice, was fair to all the kids in regards to playing different positions.
  • Taught the kids win or lose you have class. Shout out to Coach Steve and staff and coaches bill
  • Everything!
  • Coach Ed always focuses on the fundamentals, safety and knowledge before winning, these skills are so important at this age. Thank you Coach Ed for teaching the sport of football.

What was the BEST part of the season for your athlete(s) / family?

  37 responses

  • Games
  • The organization as a whole and the extended family, making friendships while seeing the kids grow
  • How close the team became over the course of the season
  • Watching her learn and grow with her teammates. The coaches were great too!
  • The tightness of the team
  • Watching my daughter learn new skills and gain confidence and have fun with her friends.
  • Getting to play together with his raider family.
  • Building the relationships with teammates and their families. Team bonding was really great for our team, and everyone was a key component and stepped up when we needed them.
  • Making new friends, the games and competitions
  • That it was over
  • Camaraderie
  • Watching my son improve and fall more in love with the game every time he played.
  • Winning the D3 Central Mass Superbowl
  • The end
  • Team building
  • Nationals.
  • We loved to see camaraderie that developed over the season.
  • Consistency with coaches and all the time and effort you all put into practice and games.
  • The Sunday games and film nights
  • The Game day.
  • Making it to Florida! What an amazing experience
  • Overall it was a good experience and it kept us very busy.
  • Feeling like a big family and looking out for each other.
  • She says learning how to do cradles
  • Leather experience with friends
  • Our 11u end of year team party. Coach Jesse made it so special for the players and families when he spoke about each kid.
  • The best part of every season is my son being able to play a sport that he loves that he has fun playing and doing it with his teammates and the coach’s that he looks up to. The family environment is what makes it special. The wins and loses are celebrated together as a team.
  • Competitions, going to Mohegan. Having my daughter be apart of a team/group
  • The friends and memories made
  • My kid has loved being a part of this cheer family for many years! Thank you for giving her the space to grow as an athlete & as a teen.
  • Kids love the “football experience” and being with their team. Younger kids love to win yes but love to be around their friends and have fun. They love to show off their skills.
  • Watching the team get to know each other and grow as a little family over just a few months!
  • Comps
  • Game days, team bonding
  • Nationals Trip
  • For cheer when we are indoors and getting our routine completed. For football games

Follow-up: Would you recommend our football/cheer league to other families? Why or why not?

  • Not only do the athletes learn the sport but they learn valuable life lessons
  • Definitely! Great community.
  • Yes, it’s a great thing to get into.
  • Overall my daughter had a fun experience and she would like to come back and do it again. My only concern is the time commitment. Two four hour practices a week was a little bit rough for my daughter and my family, towards the end of the season my daughter was definitely tired and very burnt out and needed a break. I think if the time commitment were a little bit less intense I think she would have had a better time. However she learned a lot of new skills and gained a lot of confidence. She liked being part of a team and she liked when she and her teammates succeeded.
  • Excellent program that teaches kids discipline, sportsmanship and being a good team player - the program builds character
  • Good, safe experience for athletes and is a well run and respected organization
  • Nope not till I see a change
  • It’s well run
  • Yes, of course I would. I think it is great team sport and the coaches that we have been with were great. Good coaches make all the difference.
  • One of the few programs that can almost guarantee a full team at each age level
  • Coach Jesse
  • Its fun and a good way for my daughter to participate in a team sport
  • Absolutely. Our family has developed great friendships and bonds between athletes and other families. It gave us something to look forward to each weekend.
  • Yes! The league is very organized and the kids learn so much about sportsmanship.
  • It’s a good program, costs are high for cheer.
  • Yes… it builds amazing friendships, respect, discipline and citizenship
  • For anyone looking at to play football, I would recommend it but let know them it's a commitment. Not, I would say there is a lack of sportsmanship here. Winning at all costs shouldn't be a major priority at this age.
  • My son enjoyed it and has gained some great skills.
  • Yes. It's been a great experience
  • Yes it's well organized and a nice family environment
  • We’ve had a great experience
  • Yes
  • Yes I think the program is well run with all of the levels we offer and we are building memories and skills for our kids, as well as gaining a family
  • Yes, cheer has given my daughter a safe place to be herself
  • Kids love the experience
  • Yes! One of the best decisions we’ve made and looking forward to continued seasons and growth
  • Yes of course amazing
  • This will be our 10th cheer season and our 4th football season and we love the community it brings us.
